I’ve been super preoccupied lately with my iPad – I’m hooked on the 50 Shades series and have not been able to stop reading/thinking about these books since I started them last Friday.
I know, I know… pretty racy stuff but they are SO good. I. Cannot. Stop.
And I really can’t wait til they make them movies… I’ve already got my eye on a few good lookin guys who could play the main character, Christian Grey.
I think I like them so much because of the love and passion that Anastasia and Christian share – and aside from all of his issues, the main idea is that he was willing to change his bad boy ways for her – which might be every girl’s dream right?
So today’s theme has a little bit to do with the books – with all the fancy things he has and the fun parties/restaurants he takes her to, I wanted to create an upscale art gallery type of gala theme.
With soft shades of lavender + grey, I’m loving how simple and elegant this theme turned out.
What do you think? Have you read the books?
Have a wonderful rest of the day!

Hey there! Hope you’re having a wonderful week so far – I know I’m ready for the weekend for sure.
Today’s theme is fun for the whole family – game night! I’m loving vintage board games lately, and they make the perfect wedding decoration addition.
How fun are those favor bags? They’re stuffed with retro gum, mustaches and toys. I love em. Plus the muted of the game boards creates the perfect hue of coral that I’m loving right now.
You can’t forget the mustaches on a stick. Those are a must have.

Hello loves! Happy Thursday!
Today’s post comes a little bit late – I’ve been a busy girl lately! More details on that next week (it includes being featured on hgtv.com!)
Today’s theme is inspired by music – and there are SO many ways this can be done! I have such a connection with music and lyrics, and my relationship with my hubs started because of music (he was in a band, I was a groupie). Music is a HUGE part of my life, so I know how having a wedding centered around music creates such a personal feel for your day.
Whether it’s centered around classical music with sheet music and string quartet or is focused on a more retro feel, there are so many ways to have fun with this. Here’s a more classical wedding:
Did you see that peplum bridesmaid dress? I’m in love!

My obsession for plaid started this fall when I first saw the first picture on this board (#1).. I mean, come on.. how gorgeous is that couple, and how cute are they?
With this photo as my inspiration, I bring you a plaid theme with hints of vintage jewelry and woodgrain.
This is the perfect theme for a laid back, wintery wedding with spiked hot cocoa at a ski lodge. One thing I love about this theme is the color palate – I usually try to soften my themes up with a lighter color or two, but this theme is perfect for bold colors that work together to create a cozy palate.
I would get married again just so I could have that garter…
Can’t you just taste the hot cocoa? Yumm.
