Justin is sort of a homebody, so my chances of world traveling are few and far between.
I would, however, like to make it out of the country at least once in my life – preferably to a place like Venice or France. Maybe someday when I’m rich and famous
Because of his homebodiness, I’ve accepted the fact that most of our trips will be within US borders, and I’m 100% okay with that because there are hundreds and hundreds of beautiful and inspiring things to see in the United States.
Today’s wedding theme is themed around maps and travel, and paired with the colors I chose I absolutely adore the idea of this shindig.
A little bit vintage, a lot of fun.
What do you think? Isn’t that ring photo absolutely swoon-worthy? And those field notes notebooks for all of your out of town guests are adorable.
xo, and happy Thursday!

Hello loves! Happy Thursday!
Today’s post comes a little bit late – I’ve been a busy girl lately! More details on that next week (it includes being featured on hgtv.com!)
Today’s theme is inspired by music – and there are SO many ways this can be done! I have such a connection with music and lyrics, and my relationship with my hubs started because of music (he was in a band, I was a groupie). Music is a HUGE part of my life, so I know how having a wedding centered around music creates such a personal feel for your day.
Whether it’s centered around classical music with sheet music and string quartet or is focused on a more retro feel, there are so many ways to have fun with this. Here’s a more classical wedding:
Did you see that peplum bridesmaid dress? I’m in love!

There’s something I love about woodgrain details.
Paired with a coraly pink and a sage green, I think the woodgrain pattern looks really rustic and a bit retro in this inspiration board.
I mean, woodgrain sunglasses as favors for your guests? How adorable would that be?!
For all of you wedding DIYers out there, I’m doing a giveaway! I’m giving away my fav DIY wedding book, learn more here.
Have a lovely Thursday!

My girly + whimsical side has emerged today [despite my lack of sleep + collectedness after my long weekend in Vegas] and I’m in love with today’s theme!
Ever since I saw BHLDN use balloons in their marketing pieces I have wanted to theme a wedding around balloons and I could not be more happy with how today’s turned out.
A springy, pastel palette that reflects the color of translucent balloons is gorgeous, and paired with light colored touches this makes out to be such a whimsical [and a tiny bit vintage] theme.
I’m in love with the programs, I did something similar for my lovely friend Lindsay’s wedding back in August. And the variety in the dresses is lovely.
Have a wonderful and warm day my loves!

For as long as I can remember, I have LOVED to read.
I used to get so excited to find a huge stack of books left by Santa on Christmas morning, and I would get in trouble for reading under the covers with my flashlight when I was supposed to be sleeping.
Which explains why I have wanted to create this theme for some time now, and I am in love with how this turned out.
There’s a super cute Vintage Book Table Number DIY tutorial I originally saw on Style Me Pretty (this version is via Notes on a Wedding).
Another great source – one I am dying to get my hand on – is the book The Repurposed Library… 33 great DIY projects for old books. There are some lovely ideas in there.
Can’t you just smell the old books? What’s your favorite part?

Happy Thanksgiving Lovlies!
Because I know you’ll all are super busy with family and planning out your strategic black friday shopping plans, I’ll keep it short and sweet today.
Today’s theme: Kentucky Derby!
I originally envisioned a Southern plantation theme, but it evolved into a mint-julepy, horse inspired theme with pops of fuschia. I’m loving how it turned out:
Lovely, isn’t it? I love the sterling silver touches in the julep cups.
I told you this would be short and sweet…now get back to a day full of turkey and football! And have a piece of pumpkin pie for me.

This week’s theme is bright to say the least. It’s got a homespun DIY feel to it, and you know I can’t pass up a cute DIY project!
A quilt guest book, sunflower bouquets, homemade pies and backyard games – can’t get any cuter than that!
You can have SO much fun with this type of wedding – anything goes!
I want to throw a party like this – very ‘backyard American wedding.’
Love it. What DIY weddings do you have for a wedding? Please share!

I’m super excited about today’s theme!
I love vintage and I love pastels, and today is both!
