Happy Friday, friends!
As part of me quitting my job, one of my goals is to find a letterpress class that will show me the ins and outs of my 2 small machines so I can start making custom cards + invites!
To get a basic understanding on how letterpress works, I found an amazing video:
Letterpress from Naomie Ross on Vimeo.
And here’s my round up of studios around the country that teach letterpress classes:
• Blue Eye Brown Eye – Fort Worth, TX (I’m going to try to take both the letterpress and calligraphy class in Feb.)
• May Day Studio – Montpelier, Vermont
• The Arm – NYC
• Evanston Print – Chicago, IL
• Lala Press – Los Angeles, CA
• Moveable Type – They travel all around the country in a big van teaching classes!
Would you ever take a letterpress class? I’m dying to do one!

I’ve always been a girlie girl, but as Justin and I remodel and decorate our home, I’m finding that we definitely lean towards more masculine colors and design – we’ve got lots of dark wood and grey elements in our home.
And I must say, I’m loving it! Our home is decorated with vintage pieces we find at flea markets and auctions, and it really shows our style.
I’ve found lots of great design inspiration on Pinterest with this same style, here are a few of my favorite minimalistic and masculine details:
I’m in love with the dark wood + leather + metal hardware + white elements look. It’s perfectly rustic and vintage classy.
Have a lovely Friday!

Have I ever told you the story of how I met my husband?
He was in a rock band, and my friend and I were the groupies. We used to follow them around to all of their shows and were even ‘merch’ girls for a of their stops. They were pretty good too – they opened up for Fall Out Boy before they were super big.
Needless to say, I like skinny, grungy boys with tattoos. Might not be your cup of tea, but I swoon when I see a man with ‘sleeves’ and I think I’ve fallen in love with every member of any band I’ve ever seen live.
I’ve always wanted a tattoo, but my style + obsessions change so often that I’m worried I would get something that I wouldn’t want in 2 years.
I do know one thing though – I want a tiny tattoo.
Something like one of these:
Justin and I are considering getting matching arrow or anchor tattoos on our hands.. they have to be super tiny and cute though!
Do you have a tattoo? Would you ever consider getting matching tattoos?

Yay yay yay for Friday! I am so ready for a few days off!
I found this photoshoot this week and was smitten by this couple.
You see, it isn’t easy being married, it really is hard work sometimes. But I think it’s the ultimate dream to be able to grow old with someone that you are head over heels in love with. And it looks like this couple is just that.
I mean, you can’t get much more adorable than that, right? That hand holding shot almost brings tears to my eyes.
I’d love to be able to sit down with them and ask them how they made it through all these years together. I wanna hear their story.

The past few weddings I’ve gone to, there have been photobooths and I’ve watched SO many people have tons of fun in them. With fun props and photos printed on the spot, how could you go wrong?
Can’t afford to pay for a photobooth? Set up an area at your reception with a fun backdrop + props and have someone on hand to take pictures for the night.
And if you want to know my pic for the best photobooth in IA/IL, it’s J&K Photobooth. Tons of fun props = a night of too much fun! Plus, I’m helping the owners, JR + Kami, out with their wedding invites, so I’m kind of biased.
Have a great Friday! Headed to any weddings this weekend?

Happy Friday everyone!
Do you have fun plans for the weekend? I know I’ll be working my life away on a huge project that is launching soon + relaxing a bit before April comes – SO much wedding fun is going to be happening in April and May and I can hardly wait.
Today I am sharing with you a lovely engagement photo I found done by Di Bezi Photography.
Here’s why I love this photo so much: It looks vintage, you can tell by the look on their faces they are having tons of fun + are super in love, and it shows them in their element. They are going to look back on this photo years from now and remember how in love they were at this moment.
I love it. Photography is so important – not something to skimp on on your wedding day. You’ll want your photography to remind you of little moments of the day that make it so special.
Well, that’s all for today – Have a beautiful weekend!
When I’m at a loss for inspiration, all I have to do is take one look at photographer Jose Villa’s blog and I am fully inspired again.
There aren’t words for how breathtaking his photographic style is…
There are tons more beautiful photos on his site. You should head there now.
Hope you have a wonderful Friday!

Here’s the absolute truth – I’m never going to be the most neat/tidy/organized person
in the world… it’s just not gonna happen for me.
I’m the daughter of 2 people who just can’t throw stuff away. My parents are collectors,
and I’ve got some of that in my genes too.
Instead of being the most organized person, I’d rather have styled clutter
kind of like Bri Emery of DesignLoveFest has.
Bonnie Tsang took amazing photos of Bri’s loft, she really captured the fact
that this home is lived in.
Living here doesn’t mean tip toeing around not touching anything, it means
you are constantly being inspired by your surroundings and are enjoying the space you created.
That’s the kind of home I want to have.
