It’s no lie that I like to find things around me and use them for inspiration – that’s the reason I tear so many things out of magazines and order paper samples like its my job, and that’s why I’m so obsessed with Pinterest.
Having a visual representation of what I’m feeling or thinking gets me so excited – almost to the point of giddiness. I love to see collections of ideas and forming them into an idea or design of my own.
That’s why I’ve been obsessed with these real life inspiration boards lately – not just the Pinterest ones of the ones I create for Oh, What Love. The real life, reach out and touch it inspiration board are what I get most inspired by.
Here’s what I’m talking about:
Now I know Justin is too much of a neat freak to let me do this in our house (he would say there was crap everywhere and want me to take it down) I will be doing this when I get my own studio some day. Until then, I’ll settle with Pinterest
Have a lovely Friday!

Today’s theme is inspired by French pinks and grays with a vintage feel.
I’ve never been to Paris, but I’d love to travel to Europe someday just to experience the lovliness and snap photos along the way.
For this theme, black and white accents with swoops, swirls and lace are perfection. A pale pink dress paired with Chanel wedding shoes is to die for.
Customized pink lemonade bottles as favors would be super adorable.
Oh, and I have a big announcement coming on the blog later today! Make sure to check back for the details.

There’s something I love about woodgrain details.
Paired with a coraly pink and a sage green, I think the woodgrain pattern looks really rustic and a bit retro in this inspiration board.
I mean, woodgrain sunglasses as favors for your guests? How adorable would that be?!
For all of you wedding DIYers out there, I’m doing a giveaway! I’m giving away my fav DIY wedding book, learn more here.
Have a lovely Thursday!

Today’s theme is for all of you jet setting couples out there. There is something so beautiful about vintage globes, old leather suitcases and lush florals that create this sophisticated theme.
I’m in love with the color palate of browns mixed with an aqua and a sort of apricot/salmon color, and old maps are the perfect accent in your decoration.
For the bride – a couture gown and designer heels to match. Every girl’s dream
Did you check out that chocolate cake?
I’d definitely redo my wedding day to have a cake that looked as decadent as that…

Today’s theme was inspired by an engagement session I shared with you back in November. Rob + Rochelle had the cutest engagement session and save the date video – check it out here.
With a bit of vintage flair, this Americana airplane inspired theme is perfect for a summer wedding.
So cute, right? I can smell summer already

Seriously… you are amazing.
I am beside myself right now with all the love and support you all gave me – I worked hard on the post and am so happy it inspired so many people.
When I got engaged, I had no clue there were so many options for colors. Had I known (or had help from a someone who knew what they were doing) I would have chosen this absolutely gorgeous palatte.
In today’s theme, peach is the perfect accent color for this beige, pale blue and pink Southern California inspired palatte. Soft bright colors with off white create such a fun + clean design that I am loving right now.
Add in some floral patterns and vintage place settings and you got yourself one gorgeous day.
I love, love, love the softer colors with a floral pattern… seriously fab.
Have a lovely, lovely day today!

As I was putting this theme together I realized that this is a very Valentine’s Day focused theme… oops! I’m about a month early but oh well.
A Love Letter themed wedding would be absolutely gorgeous – with hand written invitations, lots of lace and pops of coral and red you can’t go wrong.
So intimate and romantic. And those Valentino shoes are stunning!
My favorite part about this theme is the color palate.
Sometimes red can be a hard/harsh color, but not in this sense.
Paired with coral, creams and browns it is really toned down and becomes a stunning accent. Yes?
What do you like best about this theme? Write it in the comments below.

Just an FYI – I’m partnering with my friend Tracy Matthews who creates custom wedding jewelry in NYC, and she’d offering the first 5 people to contact her a 10% discount, which is amazing.
Seriously though – Charlize Theron and some of the American Idols have been seen wearing her stuff.. she’s good.

Can you believe it?
2012 is only a few days away. And I’m on a cleaning/organizing/planning purge right now – which is a great thing.
So today, I’m sharing with you the last Theme Thursday of the year, and I’m finishing it out with a nice clean + modern look (See? I’m on a clean-kick).
Greens, whites and grays paired together with crisp white letterpressed invitations and ruffled cakes and dresses create a clean palate with a bit of personality.
Don’t you feel refreshed after looking at that? That cake and the dress match perfectly too. Sigh..
If you like this theme, I’d love for you to share it with your friends. The social media links are at the bottom of this post. Thanks!
Lastly, I just want to thank you so much for being a part of the Oh, What Love community in 2011. I’m so excited to share my goals for 2012 with you – it’s gonna be a big year!
Here’s to a wonderful New Year!

For as long as I can remember, I have LOVED to read.
I used to get so excited to find a huge stack of books left by Santa on Christmas morning, and I would get in trouble for reading under the covers with my flashlight when I was supposed to be sleeping.
Which explains why I have wanted to create this theme for some time now, and I am in love with how this turned out.
There’s a super cute Vintage Book Table Number DIY tutorial I originally saw on Style Me Pretty (this version is via Notes on a Wedding).
Another great source – one I am dying to get my hand on – is the book The Repurposed Library… 33 great DIY projects for old books. There are some lovely ideas in there.
Can’t you just smell the old books? What’s your favorite part?

Fall is in full swing now, and before those last few leaves fall of the trees I wanted to design an autumn themed wedding, so here it is!
I am in love with these colors. So deep and dreamy, right?
Eggplant with Khaki and gold accents and total rustic-ness… and that dress!
Love it all.
