Downloadable: Anthro Inspired Desktop Wallpaper

| DIY, Giveaways, Life

Lovelies – I was getting really board with my computer background and couldn’t decide what I wanted to change it to for the new year.

So I created my own design and decided I would share it with you as well. It’s the same look as my Anthropologie Inspired DIY Guide (which you can still pick up!) and I’m in love with the colors… definitely something I can stare at all day while I’m sitting at my desk.

Download it here.

Once you download it, go into your computer’s settings and set it as your screensaver or wallpaper. You might have to play with the settings a bit, I know on my iMac I had to tile the image so it didn’t have color blocks on either side.

Hope you love it!

A BHLDN Party Board

| Inspiration, Wedding Ideas

My friends, I have some amazing news – or at least I think it’s amazing!

My favorite new wedding brand, BHLDN (please tell me you know about them!) is opening a store in Chicago! That’s only a 3 hour trip for me, and you better believe
I’m gonna be there when it opens.

So. Darn. Excited.

In honor of that lovely news, I have put together an inspiration board inspired by BHLDN.

And of course, the theme color is my fave – mustard 🙂

From the Queen Anne’s lace in the earrings and cuff to the bow on those shoes, I want it all. This would be the perfect outfit to wear to a spring wedding, or add a cardigan and tights and wear it to a winter party.

Hop on over to BHLDN.com and create your own inspiration boards (they call them Mood Boards) and post a link to your board in the comments. I wanna see your favorites!

Library Love: The Repurposed Library

| DIY, Inspiration

I’ve decided that I don’t want a Kindle because I love collecting books too much.

Here’s a book that I’m hoping to add to my library soon : The Repurposed Library

I first saw this book in Anthropologie and as I leafed through its pages, I was astounded with the amazing and gorgeous things you could do with old books.

Who knew, right? There are 33 DIY projects to repurpose old books.

Can’t wait to get my hands on this one.

Happy Friday!

New Wedding Obsession: B H L D N

| Inspiration, Wedding Ideas

Darn it!

As I’m writing this post, I’m realizing that I talk about Anthropologie a lot.

I hate overkill, but I can’t get over the things that this store does! It fits my personality so well, I just can’t help it.

Well, Anthropologie has totally outdone themselves this year.

Earlier this year, Anthro launched their wedding line named BHLDN.

On their website, they explain their WHY (If you don’t know about WHY, click here):

Our roots are with Anthropologie, so a passion for experience and creating one-of-a-kind moments runs deep. But our offering speaks more to the not-so-everyday occasions—ours is a voice that celebrates a woman’s most anticipated milestones. And one that gives tradition a twist.

We want, more than anything, to help a woman create an event that reflects her own unique perspective… to a tee. We want to give a bride that edit she’s been searching for—with heirloom-quality wedding gowns, artisanal hair adornments, footwear, and lingerie. And we want happy bridesmaids—in mix-and-match frocks with rich hues and unexpected details.

But it goes beyond the dress. Our goal, and the reason we drape, fold, bustle, and stitch, is to start a conversation with our customer—to build a resource where she can come to find inspiration and to share with those closest to her, as well as our broader coterie. BHLDN’s story is unfolding; and we’ll look to our customer for cues and guidance going forward.

There are no checkboxes. No fill-in-the-blanks. On the contrary, we think a moment should be as layered and dimensional as the woman standing within it.

Gives. me. chills.

And this is why  I am so obsessed with Anthro and BHLDN – my passion is aligned with their passion. Their WHY makes me excited for what I do, and it inspires me to create wedding days that are memorable for each and every bride. It’s the stuff I dream of.

Here is some of their gorgeousness.. be prepared to be amazed:

I’m in love with all of it. I need to plan a trip down to Texas to visit their store.

What do you think? Are you in love?

Anthropologie Obsessed.

| Inspiration

I can’t help it.

Every time I pass an Anthropologie (which isn’t often, I live in the middle of nowhere), I get giddy.

The colors, patterns and textures get me every time. I can’t walk out of there without buying SOMETHING.

I was visiting my sister in Nashville a few months back when I realized why I get this way.

I walk into Anthropologie and I’m inspired.

Everything has a handmade, vintage or girly feeling to it, and I instantly want to be wearing every article of clothing in sight.

The displays look like they are made from vintage furniture and the window displays are perfectly crafted.

I want every aspect of my life to look like this 🙂

Anthropologie gives me the motivation to go home and work on a project I’ve been putting off

and gives me ideas for vintage or girly style weddings.

It gives me reassurance that I know who and I am and what I am going to accomplish.

Here are some lovlies for you:

Do any stores inspire you?
