Kara + Keefer’s Botanical Barn Wedding

When you do stationery and one of your family members or friends gets engaged, you usually have the pleasure of designing their wedding materials. And some of those clients can be the most fun to work with because they generally trust your design eye and know you’re going to produce something amazing for them. Often times, it’s a chance to try something new, create something different and dream up the most lovely invitations you possibly could.

When my sister-in-law got engaged, I knew we were going to be able to have fun with all of her designed materials. She wanted a botanical feel with tons of flowers (swoon!), was getting married in a barn and hired an amazing photographer. We worked together on invitations that would pull together both the rustic and botanical themes, and I’m pretty in love with how they ended up.

Photographed by the amazing Lindsay from Ivory + Bliss, these invitations included an outside pocket with the main invitation, details card, RSVP and map all included on the inside. We incorporated a lovely floral pattern to the backs of the map and RSVP, and when the invitations were folded and closed, they were held together with the same floral patterned belly band, a string of twine and a cute little kraft tag. I love how they turned out!

We worked together on Kara’s programs as well – we had so much fun with the little faces for the wedding party!

The party was a blast – my husband was a groomsman and our little guy was one of the ring bearers, so it was a whole-family occasion! She used my milk glass collection for her floral centerpieces and planted succulents in the shallow pieces – it looked stunning.

I was so honored to be a part of her wedding day, and I had so much fun helping her with her stationery as well!
