Today I’m sharing another installment of Store Inspired where I fill you in on stores that inspire the Oh, What Love brand and pieces from those stores that can inspire your wedding.

Today’s store: Urban Outfitters.

I can remember looking through the Urban Outfitters catalogs in high school and drooling over their clothes – it was the first semi expensive (for a teenager) store I obsessed over, and I would try to recreate the looks from the catalog with pieces out of my own closet.

Urban Outfitters introduced me to a whole new sense of style – something other than the clothes I could find at Wet Seal or Vanity. I think I loved it so much because Chicago was the closest store and I didn’t have a way to buy online, so I would plan out which pieces I wanted to buy and save up my money to get them. And I’m still obsessed with them today.

Urban has some great pieces you can incorporate into your wedding day too – their jewelry, hair and shoe selection is amazing, and they have so many unique dresses for your girls to wear for their bridesmaid dresses.  They’ve even got ponytail extension pieces to make your wedding day hair more fab than ever.

The people who choose the songs for TV shows really know what they’re doing, I swear. Shows like Entourage, Gossip Girl, The O.C. and The City (Seriously embarrassed by that list of shows except for Entourage – they’re my girly guilty pleasures!) all have seriously amazing soundtracks.

Another one? Weeds. Today’s Music Monday comes from the very end of the season finale of Weeds where the whole family is sitting on the porch hugging each other while With Arms Outstretched by Rilo Kiley is playing. The instant I heard this song I fell. in. love.

When I first met my hubby, he made me watch it with him (I was reluctant) but I instantly fell in love. I mean, what’s not to love? There’s a princess (who went on to be Jenny in Forrest Gump), a dreamy prince, the kid from The Wonder Years and soo many good lines to quote.

So today’s theme is inspired by the Princess Bride, and it’s a lovely mix of woodsy details and romantic florals. It’s perfection.

Today’s Lovely Libation is a Blueberry Lemonade Spritzer, which is perfect for a summer wedding! The refreshing taste of lemonade with a burst of blueberry flavor would be a wonderful signature cocktail and one that all sorts of guests could enjoy.

One of the things on my bucket list is to learn calligraphy & add it to my list of services. After metting Melissa Epslin of the blog I Still Love You, I  knew I needed to take this girl’s calligraphy course – her work is amazing.

When I got back from Alt, I signed up for the 30 day I Still Love Calligraphy course and fell in love – she walked me through every step of the calligraphy process, from the tools you need, the basic strokes and then how to put it all together with flourishes.

My calligraphy is still a work in progress until I can devote some serious time to practicing, but I love that I now know the basics and have the tools so I can practice whenever I want.

Have you noticed how most “mother of the bride” outfits are not nearly as hip or chic as your mom? My mom is a pretty stylish lady and finding a wedding appropriate dress and accessories that matched her rock-star personality proved to be a challenge.
