With my last wedding of the year this weekend, I shared some silver inspiration on the My Wedding Favors blog - think mix and match silver pieces, bridesmaids in sparkles and pretty little bud vases filled with blush colored roses. Take a look at today's Theme Thursday Silver and Gold. Head on over to the My Wedding Favors blog for more color inspiration and details about this lovely silver[...]

Don't you love mix and match pieces? This weekend I'm styling a wedding for a friend, and we decided on mixing and matching elegant vintage silver pieces with brass and gold pieces and mercury glass. I'm going to do layers of doilies, silver trays and cake stands and mixed heights of silver, gold, glass and brass pieces - all of which are available for rent for your own wedding or party. You can f[...]

I have a weak spot for 1920's cameras, so when this one made it's way into my store I had to snatch it up before someone else did! This one is a Kodak No. 2 Folding Cartridge Premo. It was made between 1916 to the mid 1920's and was designed for the amateur photographer. It's amazing to me that something that is 100 years old with so many intricate parts is still in tact and usable a[...]

Although this week kicks off the first unofficial week of summer, springtime weddings are still underway. And springtime weddings in a barn with big florals = perfection. I shared a fun wedding theme over on the My Wedding Favors blog recently. There are so many farm fresh props you could use to pull this theme off - galvanized buckets and watering cans are perfect for centerpieces and displays[...]

Friends, I'm so excited to be sharing today's wedding with you! I worked with Meghan most of last year on pulling together the look for her September wedding, and once the big day came I helped her with day-of coordination. Meghan was such a joy to work with - she trusted me with all of the details of the day and we pulled together lots of rustic prettiness to make her day extra special. [...]

See all of the the details and the color palette I put together for this theme over on the My Wedding Favors blog - go now!

Happy Thursday Friends! Did you know I just added Vintage Rentals to my list of services? I have some fun collections that I'll now be renting out for weddings and events. For now I just have six categories - milk glass, burlap wrapped mason jars, brass cattle tags, globes, wooden boxes and brown bottles - but I have a lot more that I'm able to rent out depending on the time of year/what[...]

Isn't vintage camera gear fun? I've got a small collection of cameras from the 20s and 30s, and I love looking through antique photographs and tintypes. I just ran across a whole tote full of tintypes. Tintypes are made from a thin sheet of iron with a photographic emulsion, and they were popular in the late 1800s - which is why I think they are so fun. You can't think of too many things that a[...]

Owning an antique store you come across interesting stuff - and lots of it. And you want to take most of it home with you, so you tend to have lots of collections. For me it's jars, milk glass, little signs and knick knacks and - one of my newest collections - globes. Its so fun to scour shops for a globe I don't have, and adding a new one to the collection is exciting. I've only got five right[...]

Last weekend my sister-in-law, sister and bf threw me an absolutely adorable baby shower - I can't get over how much detail and planning was put into it and I love how it turned out! The venue was perfection, there is a farm just outside of town that used to do craft shows and flea markets, and the owner has since used it as a venue for weddings and parties. My sister-in-law reached out to the [...]
