I cofounded the Create + Connect Project with my friend and coworker, Katrina Padron.

We worked together in the corporate world for 5 years – Katrina as Director of Marketing turned Social Media Strategist and me as Design Intern turned lead graphic and web designer.

We both had big dreams and started making the steps necessary to get ourselves from where we were to where we wanted to be  - taking what we loved to do and turn it into our full time jobs.
The Create + Connect Project was created from really wanting to work on something together and our passion to help other people do what they love doing. We decided to take all of expertise from the corporate world and combine it with everything we’ve done for our businesses that worked and tried to fit it in one neat little package.

Right away, this project gained enormous momentum – we had some of the biggest bloggers in the design world (think HGTV, Design*Sponge, Design For Mankind, Design Crush and Camille Styles) on board to help us through interviews, mini courses as bonuses and lots of different blogs featured us in their posts.
